Last few days

Over the past few days we have set up a corner of my office for homeschooling. To get started, we put in a small table with 2 chairs, put the girls' letters (minus a few that are missing) and numbers on the wall plus a 2-drawer organizer. Tinkerbell4 loves her new corner--I had a hard time getting her out of it a few nights ago---she just wanted to stay there and color and color!! Definitely want to get more things up on the walls--but this is a good start for now.

Tinkerbell4 learned about Nehemiah rebuilding the walls at Sunday school this past Sunday so we took her legos and Pop-Up pals and created our own walls around a pretend city. Both girls wanted to help and we didn't have enough legos to make a wall around all 4 corners..but they got the idea!!

Fun in the sun---kiddie water park style

Our fun adventure yesterday involved a local kiddie water park! Princess2 got in free so that was an extra bonus!! The girls had a BLAST!! We went with another Mom friend and her 2 kids (whom my girls LOVE) so the 4 of them had fun running around getting wet! Definitely a place we are going back again soon...great spot to cool off from the summer heat!

Welcome

We thought it would be fun to share our learning adventures as we dive into homeschooling next month with our 2 girlies....our oldest (let's call her Tinkerbell4) and our youngest (let's call her Princess2). Tinkerbell 4 will be doing lot of fun/hands on learning of writing letters, numbers, shapes, colors and more (She already knows her letters--now we're going to focus on mastering writing them, and she already knows most colors, shapes, and numbers so we'll just do fun activities to enhance what she already knows). Princess2 is her sister's "me too" so I'm sure she'll have fun learning along the way.


However, let's start with our summer fun! We went camping, went to our local library and got library cards for the first time, went to a Triple A baseball game, went to a State Fair, went bowling, had lots of fun summer nights playing at our favorite park, had a fun filled bday party for Tinkerbell4, visited both sets of grandparents, had fun watching Tinkerbell4 learning to ride her new bike and Princess2 rider her big wheel, played a lot in our backyard, etc.
